MINECRAFT DIAMOND is a very rare resource but can be difficult to find. So, we explain how to obtain diamond in version 1.20.
DIAMOND IN MINECRAFT
In Minecraft, diamond is certainly one of the most coveted resources by players. Used, notably, to craft very robust and high-quality armor and tools, it is, as you should know, quite challenging to get your hands on diamond. Thus, in this dedicated guide, we indicate how and where to find diamond in Minecraft.
WHERE TO FIND MINECRAFT DIAMOND IN 1.20?
Unlike coal, iron, or even lapis lazuli, retrieving diamond in Minecraft can be quite long and tedious. As you probably already suspect, it is in mines and caves that you can obtain diamond, starting from diamond ore, which appears in blocks. However, you will need to descend more or less into the depths of a mine to find it. In general, diamond is found between layers 16 (Y=16) and -64 (Y=-64). For example, we obtained it at layer -54 (Y=-54).
Diamond blocks are easily distinguishable from others. Indeed, within it, the diamond ore has small squares of a very light and sparkling blue (as in the image above). However, it’s worth noting that diamond ore veins are quite thin: you will probably only see two or three blocks at a time. Thus, having many diamonds requires time and patience. Finally, note that using an iron pickaxe, or a higher-quality one, on a diamond ore will yield a diamond. Using a stone pickaxe, for example, will not allow you to break the block.
As mentioned earlier, diamond in Minecraft is necessary for several items. It can be used to craft armor, weapons, and tools. Moreover, a diamond pickaxe is necessary to mine obsidian, allowing you to create a Nether portal, which is highly useful.
